The Certificate in Insurance is a core qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the profession which provides basic or fundamental knowledge of insurance principles, disciplines, products and markets.

The Diploma in Insurance is a technical and supervisory qualification for insurance professionals. It will provide a firm understanding of insurance basics and develop advanced technical knowledge.
Entry Requirement: Completion of CERT CII
Level Completion requirements: minimum of 120 CII credits with at least 90 credits from Diploma Level.
The following compulsory unit requirements apply:
(M05) Insurance Law and
(M92) Insurance Business & Finance or
(530) Economics and Business
Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII):
This is a professional qualification for insurance professionals which provides an enhanced understanding of insurance practice, both in technical subject matter and overall application skills. This level is a comprehensive assessment of market knowledge and understanding.
Entry Requirement: Completion of DIP CII
Level Completion requirements: minimum of 290 CII credits with at least 205 credits from Diploma Level with 150 credits from ACII Level.
The following compulsory unit requirements apply:
(M05) Insurance Law and
(M92) Insurance Business & Finance
or
(530) Economics and Business and
(820) Advanced Claims or
(930) Advanced Insurance Broking or
(960) Advanced Underwriting
Fellowship (FCII):
Fellowship (FCII) is the CII’s highest level of qualification. It is globally recognized as an indicator of expertise and experience. Fellowship is an advanced structured learning programme available to ACII holders.
Chartered status
CII members holding the Advanced Diploma can apply for Chartered status (subject to having five years’ experience).
